If one group of people dominates Facebook, it's the moms. For at least the past ten years, Facebook has been a breeding ground for many things, but moms connecting with people from their past have got to be in the top 5 groups of users. I can't imagine going from having no way to contact people I lost touch with from my past to getting a website where you can find anyone from your middle school boyfriend to your least favorite professor! If I want to find someone from my past, I can look up their Instagram and pray it isn't private. When my mom was in her twenties, there was nothing of the sort.
I understand why Gen Xers and the generations following and preceding them love Facebook. However, not all of them use it for good. Some use it for evil, but many use it for painfully earnest parenting posts.
