This week, it was announced that the Broadway play Harry Potter and The Cursed Child was getting cut to under 3 hours. As someone who saw the version about the length of Gone With The Wind, I support this decision…I think. This marks the 3rd version of the Harry Potter play since it first opened in New York in 2018. The original version was two parts, where the audience would buy one ticket for two performances, a matinee, and an evening show or two evenings in a row. After Broadway reopened in 2021, the show was condensed into one play. The fat keeps getting trimmed off, and in a couple of years, it will be as long as an episode of Fraiser. It's becoming a real Ship of Theseus where the boards are only removed instead of replaced. If you care more about Harry Potter movies than plays, these Harry Potter memes will be more to your liking.
