It's kind of miraculous that Moo Deng has become as big of a meme as she has. I don't mean to be down on animal memes as Memebase's #1 purveyor of animal memes, but they're not exactly the most hip type of meme these days. I'm much more likely to hear young internet-savvy people quote a TikTok audio or a tweet before they prop up a gorgeous young animal. Harambe, Doge, and Fiona The Hippo were stars in their own right, but those animal meme stars have been around for years and years. Who is the meme animal of the 2020s? Until Moo Deng came around, it was those 30-50 feral hogs.
Just because Moo Deng seems to be the hottest animal meme in town doesn't mean we can't enjoy other humorous photos of cats and dogs! These animal memes are just as cute as Moo Deng if you ask me.
