If you prioritize resolution over other specs, the LG 27GN950-B UltraGear Gaming Monitor is a great option. It is one of the few to offer a full 4K (3840 by 2160) resolution and the only one under $500. The 27GN950-B also offers a 144Hz refresh rate IPS panel, a DisplayHDR 600 certification, Nvidia G-Sync Compatibility, and a 1ms response time with a ghost free and responsive picture. As IGN mentioned in its 9/10 review, you will need a powerful graphics card to run AAA games in 4K without turning down the graphics. What sets the LG 27" UltraGear OLED Gaming Monitor apart is its OLED panel, offering better color and contrast than other screens. Most gaming monitors are usually LCD screens that come in the form of TN, IPS, or VA panels. OLED screens at this smaller size with a respectable refresh rate are not common, and the UltraGear OLED Gaming Monitor was one of the first to do it well, according to IGN Middle East's review. Keep in mind, though, that OLED screens don't get as bright as LCD screens, so it's a trade-off you'll have to make.
