Ouros is a mediative puzzle game from developer Michael Kamm that launched on PC just a couple of months back, and today it has been revealed that the title is now heading to iOS and Android devices next month. Which is good news I say because this certainly seems like something that will be most at home on a touchscreen. Your goal in Ouros is to manipulate a track so that a tiny orb traveling along the track will interact with each of the numbers displayed on the screen. You adjust the position of the track using specific control points, and this is where I think the touchscreen will come in to make things feel super natural. As the game progresses new mechanics are introduced like portals, multi-hit targets, and more. Of course, itās much easier said than done. Since Iām kind of bad at explaining what you do in Ouros maybe just watch this trailer to get an idea of what the gameplay is like.
That trailer also gives you an idea of the excellent minimalist visuals and soothing sounds that accompany the gameplay in Ouros as you work your way through its 120+ handcrafted levels spread across 11 chapters. There are no timers, scores, or any other reason not to just plop down and chew on each puzzle at your own pace. Ouros has been well-received in its PC launch back in May, and mobile players will be able to get in on the fun when the game launches on August 14th. Itāll be priced at a very reasonable $2.99 and you can pre-order the iOS version on the App Store here and Android players can pre-register on the Google Play Store here ahead of its launch next month.
